FIRMWARE UPGRADE
When possible, upgrades can be made by replacing the eprom on your board with a newer one. Very often you will also have to reconfigure your tlr/tlr+ with newer software.

This kind of upgrade is provided on request. There is no cost for upgrade while you are within the warranty period but shipping charges are applicable.

Please check first with our support department and specify your serial number and current eprom number or check our compatibility chart for TLR+.


HARDWARE UPGRADE
Within the first 30 days of purchase, the upgrade to any other MCDI products costs only the difference of price between the two products and shipping charges.

HARDWARE REFIT
Very often, harware upgrades can be made on existing equipment. Fees are applicable and quoted in advance. This service includes complete factory testing.

For equipement under repair, upgrades are made. Applicable fees are quoted in advance.

HARDWARE CONVERSION
TLR+ revision 4, 5, 6, and 7 can be converted to SA-TLR+. Revision 7 can be converted in the field by a local technician or dealer using the SA-TLR+ conversion kit. Revision 4,5,6 are converted by dealers or MCDI. TLR+ revision 1 and 2 cannot be converted to SA-TLR+

TLR+ revision 7 can be converted to Decrypta 1 standard. This is done at the factory only and price is quoted upon request.

EXPRECIUM can be converted to EXSA. Field conversion kit is not available yet and will be announced in 2006 along with release of the EXSA model.

SOFTWARE UPGRADES
SAMM 7 to SAMM 8, SAMM10 or WINSAMM
Existing files needs to be transmitted to MCDI for upgrade. Fees for translation of files are applicable and quoted in advance.

SAMM 8 to SAMM 10, under warranty or service contracts
Any version of SAMM 8.x is upgradable to SAMM 10.x. Customers with a valid warranty or service contracts will receive a free upgrade on asking as well as support to upgrade. Customers without support contract or warranty can also upgrade by following the procedures posted in the download section of our web site. Support is then billed by the hour.

SAMM 10 TO WINSAMM
Upgrades are made from the WinSAMM installer. Customers without support contract or warranty can also upgrade by following the procedures posted in the download section of our web site. Support is then billed by the hour.

MANUALS
All up to date manuals are downloadable from our download section. Chinese manuals are downloadable only in acrobat reader pdf and require acrobat reader with chinese characters.

Printed documentation is shipped only on request, free of charge, but applicable shipping charges are applied.

SPECIAL MODIFICATIONS/ADAPTATIONS
Special adaptations/modifications are done often. In general, when a modification is a response to general demand of the market, there is no charge to initial customer.
