After 28 years of making PSTN alarm receivers, MCDI is announcing the End of Life for the last strictly PSTN Decrypta 4 and Exprecium d. The decline of the market for PSTN receiver is one reason to stop this production. The other is the absence of signal integrity we experience worldwide. Nowadays, telephone companies are converting signals to IP to carry them. And de-converting them back at the receiving site. This often result in signal degradation. The lack of signal integrity makes it increasingly difficult for the receivers to perform their tasks.

MCDI will continue to produce DT42m, a hybrid receiver joining the ip capacities of DT42ip to a one-line PSTN circuit for contact ID and PSTN.

Big week for DT42. We confirmed support for several manufacturers for our IP receivers.
